Leather, Snakeprint & Fur
So snakeskin, or snake print isn’t usually my thing. In fact anything to do with snakes, I’ll steer clear of it. So I quite surprised myself when I bought this dress.It firstly appealed to me for the volume of fabric. I bought it when I was pregnant, not showing, but not quite my usual shape. I loved that I looked like myself, but that there was enough fabric that I could probably be pregnant with triplets, and still have room for a big lunch. Then I was drawn to the colour. I know it’s pretty much black and grey, but that just meant it could slip quite easily into my wardrobe. Next, the adjustable straps make it easy to wear. I prefer wearing it lower, but with a camisole underneath for some modesty. Pairing it with my leather jacket, makes it just so me.
So for a dress that I had to buy in a rush, and thought I’d only wear during my pregnancy, it has become a favourite… snake print and all.
Bon… la peau de serpent, les imprimés de serpent: c’est pas vraiment mon truc. En fait j’évite tout ce qui est lié aux serpents, c’est pour cette raison que je suis étonnée d’avoir acheté cette robe. Premièrement, j’adore le volume de tissu. Je l’ai achetée quand j’étais enceinte, avant d’avoir mon bidon, mais lorsque mon corps commençait déjà à changer. J’ai adoré la porter alors que je ressemblais toujours à moi même, et que j’aurais pu être enceinte avec les triplés et toujours avoir de la place pour un très grand déjeuner. J’ai également été attirée par ses couleurs. Ehhh… c’est du noir et gris, mais elle rentre à merveille dans ma garde-robe. Enfin, ses bretelles ajustables sont hyper pratiques, car cela permet de la porter de différentes façons. Je préfère la porter un peu bas, avec un débardeur en dessous. Lorsque je la porte avec ma veste en cuir, c’est tout à fait mon style.
Alors, pour une robe que j’ai achetée en mode panique, elle est devenue une de mes pièces préférées… même si c’est un imprimé serpent.
